The Reluctant Lesbian
Directed by Thom Pasculli
Set in the early 1960s, The Reluctant Lesbian follows Sophia, a young American woman, to London after the death of her parents. Seeking out companionship and spurning her American fiancé, Sophia befriends Lady Graves, a sophisticated American woman married to an influential Member of Parliament. As their friendship deepens and becomes more complicated, Sophia must decide where her future lies and with whom. Inspired by the writings of Doris Lessing and Elaine Dundy, The Reluctant Lesbian explores gender and sexuality on the brink of the patriarchal establishment’s decline.

You Are Here
A devised piece written by Jack Karp, Kate Mulley, Alisha Silver, Joseph Samuel Wright. Directed by Jerry Ruiz
You Are Here follows three central story lines about home and finding and creating your own family: a troupe of drag queens and celebrity impersonators touring across middle America; an American woman fighting to stay in London permanently; and a young married couple on a less than ideal honeymoon in Japan. Woven into the fabric of these stories are reflections of the nature of travel, self-exploration and transformation. Created collaboratively during workshops over the summer at the Far Space,You Are Here explores themes of rootlessness and alienation and features a rich ensemble of memorable characters.

Strange Bare Facts
Directed by Lily King
Strange Bare Facts is a play about a lesser-known figure in the history of public health and epidemiology in 20th century England. J. Alison Glover was a soldier in the Boer War, a doctor on the front in World War I and was instrumental in keeping soldiers from catching disease. His early dedication to understanding health care variation through his study of tonsillectomies was ground-breaking and is still cited today. The play draws from both contemporary and historical episodes in its exploration of Glover’s life and its legacy.
